Our Staff

Kasey and Kelly

Lead Pastor

Kasey was born and raised in Kingsport, TN where he grew up as a preacher's kid in a Southern Baptist Church. Kasey put his faith in Jesus at a young age, and in High-school he knew that God was calling him into the ministry. In 2004, Kasey began his college education a Moody Bible Institute in Spokane, WA. He received his Bachelors degree in Missionary Aviation Technology, but he felt that God was calling him away from missionary aviation and into student ministry. Kasey served as the associate pastor of Happy Home Community Church in Deer Park, WA after graduating college, and in January of 2016 he came on staff as the Minister of Youth and Worship at New Hope Baptist Church. Kasey is married to his wife Kelly, and together they have two children. Kelly enjoys ministering to the students with Kasey and playing the keyboard for worship.
Eduardo Lara

Hispanic Pastor

Pastor Eduardo was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. He accepted Christ in his heart at sixteen. Since then he decided to follow Christ and put his life at his feet. He studied a Bachelor in Electronic Engineering and Communications from UANL, in Mexico. Eduardo received the call to serve full time at a national youth congress. After marrying Nimsi in 2006, who also had the call to serve, they went to study at the Baptist Theological Seminary in Oaxaca. God granted them the opportunity to study at the Palmer Baptist Theological Seminary of Eastern University in Pennsylvania where Eduardo received his Master's Degree in Divinity and then Nimsi received the Master's degrees in Theological Study and Organizational Leadership and International Development. Throughout their preparation they served as church planters in Oaxaca and Philadelphia. Eduardo has served in Mexico as Pastor of a Baptist church in Veracruz and as National Coordinator of Christian Testimony at the NGO Living Water International, helping to bring clean water and living water to the most vulnerable people. He also served as a guest teacher at the Baptist Theological Seminary in Oaxaca and promoted the Orality movement of biblical stories by heart. Eduardo and his wife are passionate about serving God, serving in the church and community. God has granted them two beautiful daughters: Jesed and Hannah, whom they love with all their hearts.
Kasey and Kelly

Youth and Outreach Pastor

Josh is homegrown here at New Hope. Raised in a christian household, Josh decided to follow Jesus as a young child, and was poured into by several adults here at New Hope, including his parents. Upon graduating High School in 2016, Josh got involved with Resonate Church as they planted a church on the campus of the University of Oregon. God used this to grow his heart for Discipleship and Church Planting. In 2017, Josh moved back to New Hope and assisted with their own church planting efforts with Hope in the Grove Baptist Church in Cottage Grove. It was in the Summer of 2020 that Josh felt the call to devote his life to ministry. It was then that he knew he would follow in obedience "Anywhere, Anytime, Anyplace". That began as an internship at New Hope working with Students in 2021. In the fall of 2022, the internship became a full time position working as the Student and Outreach Pastor. Josh and his wife Ashley are passionate about discipleship and outreach focusing on the next generation. His big goal is for students to experience a healthy transition into adulthood, and to be sent out as a missionary to college, the mission field, or the workplace.
